I'm so inspired by your use of shape and color to paint a city! And as a self-taught artist, I couldn't love this more:

Outsider art considers naïvety or lack of training a strength rather than a weakness, and this idea is very exciting to me.

I love the simple creativity, your openness and curiosity. Choosing simple art making in an AI world gets a deep sigh of satisfaction from me.

Love this. I'm just working on an essay about outsider art. Had not thought about the music side of it as much.

I actually clicked on this article because of that cool folk-arty watch painting. It made me happy to see the warm colours and bad perspective.

Allie! Wow. This is SO GOOD. I wish there was more music like this. I’ve been thinking along similar lines lately, maybe AI is teaching us that beauty doesn’t happen in spite of our imperfections but because of it. Also, great album cover! Congratulations and thanks for the inspiration. 👏👏👏

You had me at "I always wanted to make an album." I love yours: I love the way it sounds like one thing at first and it becomes a lot of other things the more I listen! I retired as an English professor a few years ago and my first project was to make an album. Not QUITE as DIY as yours: I took guitar lessons and learned a little bit about music and had my teacher play some on the album. But the concept came from a Band, Album, and Songlist my son made up (and I wrote down) 7 years ago when he was six. He used to make up fictional Broadway soundtracks all the time, but this one was a rock album. I did a song for every wacky title he came up with, so it's Outsider-y in that way. Alabama is full of great Outsider art! Cheers,

what!! your album is so good! I love the DIY nature and low-fi vibes. and what a cool process that it was a collaboration with your son, what a special thing to have.

Loveee the multimedia video! It feels so sentimental, and playful, and experimental. I feel compelled to take pictures and paint shapes and make sounds, and to have a cutesy blast while doing it.

Can’t wait to listen to the album! Thank you for sharing 🐛

I bought a harmonica just because. I’ll make an album with only the harmonica and maybe a few fun sounds. Also just because. This is so fun. Do you know if there are any hard rules that Spotify might now approve. I think I’ll release a single for fun.
