Why the festive juggler? Today, we celebrate over 550 subscribers at The Museum of Small and Important Things! Thank you so much for being here.
I took a trip to relax and take a break from work, but I was met with many questions about The Museum of Small and Important Things.
The Museum of Small and Important Things is a place to share artifacts from a creative life. Creative meaning seeing things and collects things and turning them into other things. Like seeing two birds chirping at each other and imagining what they are talking about. The imaginary thought is the artifact. Or collecting shells at the beach. The shells are artifacts of time spent somewhere, doing something, which is creative.
Everyone is creative. I think that it’s beneficial to start seeing everything we do as creative- even if it’s destructive, like creating pollution or trash. My trash is an artifact of the lunch I just ate. Creativity has no barriers to entry.
Here at The Museum I display artifacts from my own creative life along with the stories they come with. I also share ideas for creative things to do.
I have no idea. I guess what matters to me is making something that doesn’t feel like either of those things? It should feel more like an envelope of treasures mailed to you by a friend. For me that looks like less words and more pictures and handmade things. And less taking about things and more doing and showing things.
this is so precious and lovely and exactly what i'm hungry for, in my own life and in the media i'm taking in. perfect! 🌱
you don´t need to define hat it is. it´s just perfect :)
